World Glaucoma Week 2022 is coming up fast in early March with efforts to raise funds and awareness to end Glaucoma Blindness. ASE’s Head of Solution Sales, Kristof Kazmer, will be participating in their upcoming 7 Sights in 7 Days challenge to help spread awareness and raise funds for Glaucoma Australia. ASE is proud to have worked with Glaucoma Australia for over two years, helping them with their technological needs.
Kristof and participants will head out into their neighbourhood to snap photos of seven sights based on specific prompts, throughout World Glaucoma Week – March 6-12, 2022. These will include, the scenic sight, the heritage sight, the selfie sight, the creative sight, the structures sight, the hmmm sight, and the culture sight. It’s sure to be a fun, rewarding challenge and memorable experience!
The goal is to increase awareness of glaucoma in the community and the need for regular eye examinations to prevent glaucoma blindness and save sight, whilst raising money to go towards glaucoma research.
“I am inspired to support our client, Glaucoma Australia, with this challenge to help promote and share awareness of this great company and the work that they do around maintaining sight. I’m looking forward to getting out to find, snap and share seven amazing sights, while spreading awareness to a worthy cause,” said Kristof.
Glaucoma Australia is part of a worldwide effort to end glaucoma blindness. About 1 in 10,000 babies are born with glaucoma, by age 40 about 1 in 200 have glaucoma, rising to one in 8 at age 80. Glaucoma Australia’s goals are to increase awareness, provide educational resources, and fund ground-breaking research.
We love the work Glaucoma Australia do and want to support them in any way we can. Our goal is to raise $1,000 through the challenge. If you are in a position to donate (even a donation as small as your daily coffee budget!), please visit our challenge site to donate, every little bit counts!
